Rohit Shetty set to make India’s Supercops

Rohit Shetty has been giving back-to-back hits with ‘Simmba’ starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan has become the newest entry in the 200 crores club of Bollywood movies. With this, Rohit Shetty has declared himself as a bankable director and seems to make an Indian version of Marvel.

If you have watched Simmba, in the end of the movie you will see Akshay Kumar dressed up as a police officer named Sooryavanshi. The entry of Ajay Devgn in ‘Simmba’ to save Ranveer Singh, is giving us a clear indication of similar format.

For years, fans of Bollywood movies have wondered, why can’t we have our own set of superheros? Well, Rohit Shetty seems to have answered that question on Film Campanion hosted by Anupama Chopra. When asked about a female cop, he said we are working on a script of a similar nature which is being written by a female writer though he will be directing it.

Clearly, with three leading men – Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Ajay Devgn and a script with a female cop as a protagonist. We are set to have our own super cops – the Indian superheroes. One of the reasons behind superheroes is that it is a fantasy that someone with certain magical power like super strength, invisibility, or super intelligence can help the world be a better place. But, looking at the state of our country, a cop doing a good to the country and it’s citizen seems like a fantasy.

With three men already onboard to be super cops, waiting for another leading actor to be added on list. My recommendation – Arjun Kapoor. Arjun has tried his luck in Masala films with movies such as Tevar. But, in the past, it has not clearly worked him. We wish him to be added on the list of people to play a supercop and later, a universe of supercops coming together to fight injustice against a super law-breaker or a group of law-breakers.

We wish to see Ranveer, Arjun, Ajay Devgn, and Akshay Kumar with a female supercop. Who will she be? We are waiting to find out. We wish our dream comes true and so does that of the Indian public. We wish Team Rohit Shetty all the best.
